About the position
We are seeking compassionate volunteers! Volunteers can make a big difference to Hospice patients and caregivers. Hospice is a comprehensive healthcare program, designed to help people who have a terminal illness and life expectancy of up to 6 months. As volunteers, we are able to add extra relief by offering companionship, light housekeeping, and a break for the caregiver who often gets burned out.
Ways to Serve:
- Sit and talk
- Read
- Play music
- Handle light housekeeping home repairs/lawn care
- Make memory books
- Complete office work
Requirements:
- At least 1 hour a week
- Complete Hospice volunteer training program (mostly online and takes about 12 hrs. to complete)
- Willing to undergo a background check (we pay for), and a TB test
