Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class B CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, vehicle maintenance, and working closely with team members to coordinate delivery routes and schedules. Flexibility is required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain company trucks and trailers.
- Properly secure cargo for transport
- Deliver and pick up cargo in a timely manner.
- Drive long distances as needed to transport and collect freight.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, as needed.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and records.
- Safely pull, maneuver, and back up trailers.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, routes, and special instructions.
Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and alcohol screening.
- Must meet all applicable driving and insurance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, use a shovel and climb as needed.
- Flexibility with working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Flexible availability and willingness to work varying schedules.
- Familiarity with navigation apps and scheduling tools.
- Background check may be required.
- Experience with confidential information.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
