Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible to safely perform all maintenance activities including repairing, modifying, servicing and restoring company machinery or equipment; completing maintenance and preventative maintenance (planned and unplanned); and performing various assembly, fabrication or installation activities. This position is a cross-function role and will work closely across the organization to help ensure efficient operation, smooth workflow and exceptional quality output. The Maintenance Technician ensures operation of machinery by repairing and completing preventive maintenance requirements on injection molding machines, compression molding, and auxiliary equipment. THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT OPPORTUNITY, 6PM-6AM ( shift differential).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor, inspect and service company equipment and machinery, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot, repair and restore company equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties including the upkeep and organization of maintenance records.
- Perform building and facilities repair and basic building maintenance.
- Controls downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Works with tool maintenance manager to maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking inventory levels; anticipating needs.
- Repairs chillers, thermolators, loader systems, grinders and tower fans, compression molding machines, injection molding machines, and any other auxillary equipment.
- Proactive in keeping a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Responsible for using safe procedures and following safety protocols at all times.
- Previous relevant experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing machinery and/or equipment.
- Demonstrated experience with the maintenance of injection machines and performing preventative maintenance.
- Must have the ability to work independently with very solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines.
- Must be able to read and interpret prints and diagrams
- Welding skills necessary; machining skills would be a plus.
- Ability to respond to after-hours calls when required.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic/pneumatic repairs, compression mold maintenance, and PLC/Electric troubleshooting.
- Must be a team player and is able to interact with various department personnel to ensure work is completed thoroughly and efficiently.
