Coastal Connections, a subsidiary of Impact ES, builds custom fiber optic cables to the highest specifications in the industry. Fortune 500 companies as well as research facilities around the world come to Coastal Connections with their custom fiber optic needs, which has allowed us to continuously grow for the past 21 years. We manufacture cables for medical diagnostics and treatments in addition to supporting Defense and industrial sensors, space communication and sensing, quantum computing, along with many other demanding applications.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assemble fiber optic cables with hand tools.
-Operate small connector polishers
-Inspect connector polish with an image projected on a screen
-Test cables for light transmission
-Package cables
-Help wherever needed

REQUIREMENTS
-High School Diploma
-US citizen or Permanent Resident as we build Defense cables
-Self-motivated / driven
-Detail oriented
-Outstanding eye-hand coordination for handling 0.005" fibers and fragile parts (size of two human hairs)
-Able to follow written instructions
-Able to use own judgement to guarantee quality
-Good English communication skills
-1 to 2 years manufacturing experience is a plus
-Experience with ISO9001 is a plus
