SUMMARY

The Inventory Control & Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring 100% inventory accuracy, data integrity, and seamless material flow across our local operational nodes (PROD & JVL). This role balances high-level data management and systems analysis (60%) with hands-on-floor auditing, cycle counting, and warehouse coordination (40%).

The employee will take full ownership of daily manufacturing metrics and inventory reconciliations in the ERP and will serve as the primary analytical support to the Operations & Inventory Supervisor to facilitate strategic site expansion and integration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SYSTEM MANAGEMENT & DATA INTEGRITY (60% OF TIME)

  • Daily Production Reporting: Compile, verify, and deliver the Daily Production Report to leadership, ensuring all throughput, yield, and operational metrics from PROD are accurate and submitted on time.
  • ERP Administration (Business Central): Execute and oversee all inventory transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including item journals, bin transfers, and raw material consumption posting.
  • Material Reconciliation: Audit and process material returns sent back to the raw materials warehouse (KET), ensuring physical quantities exactly match system records after production runs.
  • WIP & Finished Goods Tracking: Document and log the systematic transfer of Work-in-Process (WIP/bulk candy) within JVL/PROD, as well as the outbound transfer of Finished Goods (FG) toward the external distribution center (Adel).
  • Discrepancy Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate system variances, resolve unposted journals before week-end closures, and clear inventory errors in Business Central.

OPERATIONAL CONTROL & FLOOR EXECUTION (40% OF TIME)

  • Local Cycle Counting Program: Lead and execute the daily cycle counting schedule specifically for the PROD plant and the JVL (WIP) warehouse to guarantee audit-ready inventory accuracy.
  • Floor & Bin Coordination: Audit physical inventory placement to ensure strict compliance with system-assigned locations (bin mapping), preventing misplaced inventory on the production floor.
  • Material Flow Supervision: Monitor the staging of raw materials received from KET, ensuring production lines are supplied efficiently, and excess materials are properly staged for return.
  • Site Integration Support: Assist the Supervisor in auditing, mapping, and organizing warehouse space during the ongoing operational alignment/fusion of the PROD and JVL footprints.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience executing inventory movements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (highly preferred) or Tier 1 ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced Excel Skills: High proficiency in spreadsheet management (e.g., advanced logical, lookup, and data-cleansing formulas) to automate data compilation for the daily report.
  • Logistical Acumen: Clear understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), consumption journals, FIFO methodologies, and Bin/Location management.
  • Soft Skills: High level of autonomy, sharp attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to interface effectively with production operators.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a highly analytical related field. At least 1–3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Manufacturing Logistics, or Warehousing environments.
