The Carpenter Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, assisting in the execution of projects that range from residential renovations to commercial builds.
Duties
- Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Support in framing, trim carpentry, and cabinet installation tasks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks
- Engage in heavy lifting and manual labor as necessary on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and adhere to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction principles and practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with carpentry work.
- Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Previous experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or tile laying is advantageous but not mandatory.
