Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry, has an immediate opening for a Staff Design Engineer on a 9-month Contract. The experienced Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, validating and bringing new products to market. Position Description (Principal Duties and Responsibilities) Specifying precise new product functional requirements; designing, testing and integrating components to produce final designs; and evaluating the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.Designing, developing, executing and evaluating fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creating and reviewing material part specifications and bills of materials.Collaborating with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.Utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.Leading and supporting the development of complex products and medical devices, within a cross functional team environment, influencing multiple technical areas of expertise in the research, design, development, modification and evaluation of components, assemblies, or systems.Applying advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various technologies.
