Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions while providing excellent service to our customers.
Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for weddings, events, and everyday occasions.
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs.
- Maintain the freshness and quality of all floral products.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems for processing transactions.
- Manage inventory levels of flowers and supplies, ensuring availability for customer orders.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care and maintenance to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Participate in e-commerce initiatives by promoting products online and assisting with order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in floral design or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems.
- Basic knowledge of retail math to assist with inventory management.
- Experience in retail sales and an understanding of sales techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A passion for gardening and lawn care is desirable, enhancing product knowledge.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
