Warehouse Picker

Job Summary: Manages pick ticket orders from warehouse staff and management and physically pulls inventory from the shelves to ensure accurate delivery of warehouse products. Also, packs orders, including shrink wrapping contents onto pallets, and place in designated area to load for delivery while ensuring orders are accurate and records of inventory are kept up to date for a smooth flow in warehouse operations. Performs any combination of the job functions and responsibilities.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

• Highly safety conscious
• Proven experience as order picker or other warehouse position
• Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Experience in handheld scanning devices
• Able to read and write in English and perform basic mathematic calculations
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Diligent and punctual
• Use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
• Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before start date in the position)
• Operate, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, walkies, hand jacks, and/or passenger vehicles
• Spatial Awareness — Able to visualize proximity, speed, motion, clearance, and spatial relationships of stationary and moving objects
• Control Precision — The ability to maintain positive control and quickly maneuver equipment to exact position.
• Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Arm-Hand Steadiness — The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
• Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events — Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
• Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
