Description

Job Purpose

  • Schedules, coordinates, executes, and serves as the liaison for external projects to generate polyclonal antibody serum inventory
    • Implements effective immunization programs to maximize immune response
    • Maintains professional & timely relationships with external vendors
    • Conducts required immunoassay testing & processing on received materials to ensure quality standards are being met
  • Manufactures sub-assembly items as required
  • Organizes & maintains physical and virtual antibody inventories 
  • Ensures antibody quality, stability, and specificity are maintained through proper storage & handling
  • Stays abreast of advancements in the fields of vaccine science, immunology, and antibody science through continuous learning
  • Under the direction of the Biological Materials Production Manager, significantly contributes to scientific projects for improving the application of antibody materials in current and potential product lines
  • Maintains accurate work records and assists with document revisions when necessary
  • Effectively communicates with others, is approachable, has a positive and flexible attitude, displays a strong work ethic, time management skills, and demonstrates the ability and desire for professional development
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and regulatory standards
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field 
  • Minimum of four years of experience working in a wet lab
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory skills:
    • pipetting, aseptic technique, buffer preparation, gel electrophoresis, titrations, immunoassays 
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, organization, and communication
  • Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in polyclonal antibody production, immunogen preparation, or protein characterization
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques & dry lab skills
  • BLS-2 Experience
