X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST – CROSS-TRAIN INTO CT

Duties

• Perform high-quality X-ray procedures across various clinical settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers.
• Assist in the transition to CT imaging by learning and applying protocols for cross-sectional imaging techniques.
• Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety procedures and implement radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Operate advanced radiologic imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography.
• Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring proper positioning for optimal imaging results.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, images, and patient records following hospital policies and medical terminology standards.
• Support diagnostic evaluation by collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise imaging results promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as an X-ray technologist with proficiency in general radiology procedures.
• Prior experience or familiarity with emergency room settings, Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
• Experience operating a variety of medical imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy units
• Demonstrated understanding of radiation safety procedures and aseptic techniques during invasive or interventional procedures.
• Exposure to urgent care environments or emergency medicine enhances your ability to adapt quickly and deliver exceptional patient care under pressure.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in radiology disciplines including interventional radiology and diagnostic evaluation.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
