Overview
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for a local contract position in a hospital setting. Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required.
Duties
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment such as CT scanners, X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, to produce diagnostic images.
- Assist in complex procedures including interventional radiology and nuclear medicine applications, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging processes.
- Collaborate with medical teams in emergency room and level I trauma center environments to provide rapid and precise imaging support during critical situations.
- Conduct patient care activities by preparing patients for procedures, explaining processes clearly, and ensuring their comfort throughout imaging sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, equipment calibration logs, and patient information following hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
- Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment including CT scanners, and X-ray machines.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Prior experience working in urgent care settings or emergency rooms.
- Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols effectively.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations across high-pressure environments.
Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour
