Responsibilities
- Operate MRI scanners with precision, ensuring high-quality image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan.
- Maintain strict adherence to patient safety regulations, aseptic techniques, and equipment safety procedures during all imaging activities.
- Manage medical equipment operation efficiently, including Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing and retrieving images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images and optimal patient care.
- Document procedures thoroughly, including patient information, imaging details, and technical parameters to support quality assurance and diagnostic accuracy.
Skills
- Proficiency in using MRI scanners
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation.
- Skilled in patient care techniques such as IV insertion, maintaining patient safety protocols, and providing compassionate support during imaging procedures.
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment safely while following all safety regulations and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with PACS systems for efficient image management and communication within healthcare teams.
- Excellent understanding of radiology practices related to diagnostic evaluation and medical imaging standards.
