Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a key leader in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for infants. Your expertise will guide the development of age-appropriate curricula, foster positive behavior, and support the overall growth and welfare of our youngest learners. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will inspire both children and staff through innovative teaching practices, strong classroom management, and a commitment to child-centered learning. Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive curriculum plans focused on infant development, including literacy education, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and early intervention strategies
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes exploration, independence, and curiosity among infants
  • Lead daily lesson planning sessions that incorporate Montessori principles and other child-centered teaching methods
  • Manage classroom activities with enthusiasm while maintaining effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions
  • Collaborate with families to communicate progress, developmental milestones, and strategies for supporting their child's welfare at home
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality childcare and educational standards are maintained
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of each child's growth using standardized testing methods when appropriate and adjust lesson plans accordingly
  • Incorporate physical education activities suitable for toddlers to promote gross motor development
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations related to childcare and early childhood education

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in early childhood education settings
  • Strong background in curriculum development tailored for early learners, including literacy education and childhood development principles
  • Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered teaching philosophies is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment tools
  • Prior experience in preschool or daycare settings, particularly within private school environments or similar institutions
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, families, staff, and community partners
