Description
The high school clinic aide would be responsible for staffing the clinic 4 days per week, providing general care to students with illnesses or injuries, and administering medication daily or as needed, depending on student needs. The clinic aide would also ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate supplies. The high school clinic aide would work directly under the supervision of the school nurse, who oversees both the K-8 and high school campuses. The expectation for this position includes traveling overseas during the high school Travelterm trip in January, where the aide is responsible for managing and administering student medications and providing basic first aid treatment and illness support while on the trip.
Requirements
Although not required, previous medical experience as a nurse or equivalent is beneficial. Specific school health clinic training and orientation will be provided once hired. The right candidate for this position will be organized, a good communicator, and must be able to balance administrative responsibilities with direct student care in a dynamic work environment. In addition, the right candidate will have a desire to encourage and support students spiritually while also caring for physical ailments and having a vibrant faith in Christ herself or himself.
