Summary:
To perform tasks related to maintaining and improving the facility infrastructure. To provide a safe, functional, and attractive environment for the campus' students, faculty, staff, administrators, and visitors. Work may be assigned independently or as a member of a team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus equipment, buildings and grounds.
- Well-rounded individual with mechanical aptitude, drive, and experience in the maintenance and repair of various H.V.A.C equipment, pumps, motors, kitchen equipment, lighting, minor electrical, (under 277/vac.), plumbing systems, masonry, painting, miscellaneous carpentry.
- Assist with set-up / break-down, and staffing for special events
- Provide on-call and after-hours' coverage.
- Assist the mechanical and general maintenance team.
- Operate light or medium weight trucks and equipment to include tractors and snow removal equipment if required.
- Work as directed by Facility Management.
- Remain engaged and up-to-date and informed as to current practices of job-related functions.
- Work with other people that may be contacted in an agreeable manner.
- Cooperate with other people within the department and other department personnel in completing assigned tasks.
- Display the necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in groups.
- Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Complete daily work orders and PMs. Turn in completed paperwork at the end of each shift worked.
- Ensure service slips, packing slips, and completed paperwork go back to the Facilities office daily.
- Ensure that all work is being conducted in a safe and ethical manner.
- Responsible for working in compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal government laws and regulations.
- Perform any additional duties to support Immaculata University as deemed necessary.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
- This is an intermediate level position where intermediate skills in one or more trades (H.V.A.C., plumbing or electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry) is mandatory, and a working knowledge of at least one other trade is desired. This position can function independently or may lead small project teams.
- Able to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Must have basic computer knowledge, and familiarity with any computerized work order system is a plus.
- Deal with employees, management, and client's guests and employees with tact and courtesy.
- Possess a valid driver's license. Subject to MVR check.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain effective relations with supervisor and fellow employees.
- Ability to follow and apply safety rules and regulations for job assignments and equipment used.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds.
- Ability to use tools and equipment as required.
- Willing to be trained as required.
