The Head of Finance is responsible for the day-to-day financial activities of the organization and a member of the Climate Control Americas Management Team, and a key contact for the Global Finance Director based in Europe.
Work Environment: Hybrid (minimum of 2 days onsite)

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
Bonus eligibility: This position is also eligible for a variable incentive pay component, separate from base salary.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Proven experience as Head of Finance or similar role
- Partner with commercial and executive team to drive commercial decision making and strategy.
- Trusted advisor to the executive team to provide financial expertise and business planning through financial analysis and modelling.
- Identify and measure key success drivers
- Lead and mentor teams for ongoing professional growth throughout the site
- Co-ordinate annual forecasts and budgets that will achieve Climate Control’s business objectives.
- Identify, develop and implement strategic objectives and targets through strategy deployment process
- Comply with all financial reporting and audit requirements ensuring that all Group and statutory reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Responsible for monthly financial accounts and associated analysis.
- Work with other departments to ensure integrity of all financials reported
- Implement continuous and comprehensive financial control in accordance with IMI Guidance.
- Through use of appropriate system of authorities and approvals ensure cost budgets are not exceeded.
- Support evaluations of new business and contract reviews to ensure margins and overall financial returns meet objectives.
- Oversee monthly management accounts to include:
- Profit Performance
- Sector sales and gross margin performance by customer and item
- Support monitoring of performance against strategic targets using Bridges, Cognos, and cost center actual vs. budget reports.
- Ensure results are clearly disseminated to all leadership group
- Oversee all aspects of sales and purchase ledger to ensure efficient transaction processing and continuous improvement of processes.
- Work with AR department to ensure effective credit control and collections to meet Days Outstanding and % past due objectives for the business.
- Ensure employee expenses / credit card spend is correctly controlled and accounted for.
- Ensure cashbook is correctly administered and all key control accounts are fully reconciled monthly.
- Responsible for accurate and timely submission of information to IMI, for quarterly and annual filings.
- Work with the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with all payroll requirements.
- Provide information as required by IMI to enable tax computations to be submitted on time.
- Ensure all bank accounts are correctly run in accordance with bank mandates and IMI Treasury requirements.
- Ensure that currency risk is managed in line with IMI Treasury guidelines.
- Ad-hoc internal and cross-functional project activities as identified.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a combination of manufacturing and/or public accounting roles with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- A formal accountancy qualification (e.g., CPA) and evidence of continuing professional education post qualification.
- Background in manufacturing with large, complex, global organizations with success establishing long-term financial forecasts based on anticipated sales. Cost accounting experience highly beneficial
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve unique and challenging business issues.
- Solid analytical and creative skills blended with practicality
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Best in class knowledge of financial practices, GAAP, cost management, supply chain, and manufacturing/operations is required.
- Highly skilled at organization and personnel development.
- Background in large matrix global organizations with success in driving process improvement.
- Proficient in ERP and MS Office Suite is required.
