Role Overview:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for accurately and safely performing all operations necessary to receive, inspect, transport, store, package, and ship materials and products.

Work Environment: Rockford, IL Onsite M-Th 8x10's Mid-shift 

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and arrange daily shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Track orders and update teams on delivery status.
• Ensure packages meet safety and compliance standards
• Help improve shipping processes for better efficiency
• Prepare and process necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading (BOL), customs forms, packing lists, and invoices.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, customer service, inventory) and external partners (vendors, carriers, customers) to ensure seamless and on-time order fulfillment.
• Manage and monitor inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies, reporting any shortages and assisting with cycle counts or stock audits as needed.
• Use shipping software and ERP systems.

Critical Competencies for Success:

• 3 year of previous shipping experience in a manufacturing setting required.
• Experience shipping through common carriers (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL) required.
• Experience shipping products internationally preferred.
• Experience scheduling courier pickups/deliveries preferred.
• Experience with forklift driving.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
• Experience in ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Ability and willingness to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to prioritize work and operate independently.
• Ability to regularly bend, reach, crouch, and lift up to 32 pounds.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods, preferred.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Pay range: $17-$24/hr

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
