Job Description :
We are seeking a highly collaborative and analytical Business Systems Analyst to join our onsite team In this role you will be the primary liaison between business units and the IT department You will spend your time in the trenches with business users to understand their pain points document complex system requirements and oversee the implementation of technical solutions that drive operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- A Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner is responsible for SQL writing skills for analyzing data
- Requirement Gathering: lead workshops with stakeholders in Commercial Lending, Risk Management, and Credit Operations to elicit and document business requirements
- Run product backlog refinements and refine stories to prepare them for development
- Gap Analysis: evaluate current state (As-Is) processes versus desired (To-Be) states, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency in the commercial loan lifecycle
- Functional Specification: create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), or Epics, Features, and User Stories in an Agile environment
- Good understanding of EDW landscape and ETL processes
- Regulatory Compliance: ensure all business solutions adhere to banking regulations including KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti Money Laundering), and Basel III/IV standards
- Data Mapping: define data requirements and mapping for integrations between core banking systems, CRM such as Salesforce, and credit decisioning engines
- UAT Orchestration: lead User Acceptance Testing by designing test cases, managing defect logging, and ensuring the final product meets the business definition of done
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Domain Expertise: deep understanding of the Commercial Lending Lifecycle including Origination, Underwriting, Servicing, and Portfolio Management
- Technical Proficiency: familiarity with SQL for data analysis and experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Visio or Lucidchart
- Analytical Mindset: ability to translate complex financial concepts into logical data flows and system requirements
- Communication: exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to bankers and business constraints to developers
