Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 12 months Contract (Possibility to extend)

Location: Onsite - 111 Chesterfield Industrial Blvd Suite 115, Chesterfield, MO 63005

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm CST

Payrate: $19-21/hr

Job Description:

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Filling the prescriptions for the pharmacist to check and ship out. At times may be assisting with the process of shipping. Lots of walking involved.
• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system
• Prepare and submit request for prescription refills
• Initiate clarification requests
• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation
• Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager

Performance expectations/metrics:

The performance metric is to be able to fill 18 – 22 orders accurately per hour.

Must haves:

• At least 1 year in a pharmacy.
• Knowledge of pharmacy flow
• Physically able to stand for 8 hours daily

Education/Certification/Licensure Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
