Project Engineer / Field Engineer


Greater Boise Region, Central to Eastern Idaho, Eastern Oregon


About the Position

IMCO is seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Field Engineer to join our project management team in the Greater Boise region. This role works alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Coordinators to help deliver large-scale heavy civil construction projects safely, efficiently, and successfully.

Whether you're beginning your career as a Field Engineer or bringing experience as a Project Engineer, this position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while working on a major treatment plant project with additional work already planned throughout the region.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support IMCO's commitment to safety and environmental stewardship throughout all phases of the project.
  • Build strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and design partners.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and preconstruction activities.
  • Help monitor project costs, schedules, and project controls.
  • Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project records and reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist the project team in identifying and resolving field and project challenges.


Qualifications

Field Engineer

  • Minimum of one construction-related internship.

Project Engineer

  • Minimum of two years of construction industry experience.

Both Positions

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or another related technical field.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Experience with—or willingness to learn—Bluebeam, HCSS, and other construction management software.
  • Construction field experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance beginning the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 401(k) with a 100% company match up to 4% of eligible wages after 60 days.

Projects are located throughout the
Greater Treasure Valley, Central to Eastern Idaho, and Eastern Oregon
