Mechanic Trainee

Position Overview: As an Intermodal Mechanic Trainee, you’ll receive on-the-job training to develop the skills needed to maintain, repair, and inspect intermodal equipment such as containers, chassis, and trailers. Essential Job Functions

• Assist experienced mechanics in performing preventative maintenance and repairs on intermodal equipment.
• Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, air brake system, and electrical issues.
• Perform safety inspections to ensure equipment meets operational standards.
• Use hand tools and power equipment to adjust or repair.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Requirements

• A willingness to learn and grow in a mechanical field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or previous experience with tools is a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Pay Range $16-18 an hour
