What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Hostler/Yard Mule position at IMC Companies LLC?
Work Schedule Hours: Mon-Fri 6:00am-4:00pm, Saturdays as needed.
Position Overview: Drivers will operate yard hostlers, pallet jacks and forklifts assignments in warehouses, depots and/or terminals. Individual must represent us in a professional manner and follow safety guidelines at all times.
Important Job Functions:
- Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the customer needs
- Responsible for accounting for records involving trailer numbers and position of vehicles
- Must function and interact on a daily basis with operations managers and / or depot managers and comply with safety requirements
- Must communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with operations, and personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Proper use of Airline/Electrical hookup/and Backing procedure is a must
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid License
- Willing to load and unload
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to understand written and spoken instructions
- May be working in crowded industrial spaces, so safety awareness is key
- Some assignments include responsibility to clean trailers
$20-25 an hour based on experience
