We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our orthodontic practice. Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures by providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for various orthodontic procedures.
- Take X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in orthodontics.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant is appreciated but not required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is appreciated but can be taught.
- Experience with 3D scanners is a plus.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques is required but can be taught.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric settings.
