Imboden Creek Senior Living and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Located in Decatur, Illinois, our skilled nursing community provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite services in a supportive environment where residents and staff feel valued every day.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in hands-on work and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning facility. This role is essential in supporting resident safety, comfort, and the overall appearance of our community.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the facility
• Complete painting, drywall repair, and general building upkeep
• Troubleshoot and assist with repairs of facility equipment and systems
• Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of the building and grounds
• Assist with seasonal outdoor maintenance and improvement projects
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner
• Support inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or general repair experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repair
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment around residents, staff, and visitors
• Must pass background check and drug screening
