*Job Overview*
Imagine That is seeking dedicated individuals to join our after school team as an After School Program Group Leader. This role involves strong group supervision and the ability to work in a team setting.
Our mission is to encourage children to learn through play so we can organically foster social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Team members are encouraged to bring their imagination and be ready to put their personal stamp on the program!
*Responsibilities*
- Assist with creating weekly activity schedules that are age appropriate.
- Provide homework support to students, in a group setting.
- Collaborate and proactively communicate with other team members.
- Monitor and guide students during program hours.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Assist with set up, clean up, and organizing materials and resources for program activities.
-Be able to pivot as situations arise, and make clear and good decisions that are communicated with all team members.
-Accept additional operational duties assigned by leadership within the scope of your position.
*Requirements*
-Be able to go up and down stairs several times a day, stand for extended periods of time, and actively engage through hands on play.
-Lift and move up to 25 lbs.
-Must be reliable. This is a PT position with hours from Mon-Fri, 2pm-6pm. We operate on the SDP school calendar and need team members who are dedicated to being on-site during the days we operate.
- Have a minimum of a 1 year background in sports/coaching, tutoring, daycare, camp, or similar areas.
- Ability to work effectively with students of different age groups and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
- First aid/CPR certification is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Provide a recent copy of 3 clearances and certificates: FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse, Criminal History, Act 126 (part 1 & 2) and the Act 168 form.
-Bilingual is a plus.
- Experience in special education, childhood development, or related fields is a plus.
- A Car is not required (this location is a 5 min walk from the BSL).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
