What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator (Resourcing & Operations) position at Imaginary Forces?
About Imaginary Forces
Imaginary Forces (IF) is a leading creative studio working at the intersection of design, storytelling, and visual systems. For 30 years, we’ve helped shape the visual language of entertainment and culture — from cinematic sequences and brand identities to world-building and experience design.
We partner with leading brands, studios, platforms, and creators to craft work that moves audiences and creates meaningful impact. We’re not a traditional creative organization. We’re a craft-led studio built on ideas, storytelling, and execution.
We’re looking for a highly organized Coordinator (Resourcing & Operations) to support staffing, scheduling, and freelancer management across a fast-paced creative studio. This role is central to help projects run smoothly—connecting producers, artists, and freelancers while keeping in line with all systems and best practices.
This role sits at the center of the work, supporting both resourcing (75%) and studio admin & operations (25%). You’ll help ensure the right people are on the right projects, while also helping shape the day-to-day flow of the studio. It’s a highly visible, fast-moving role that connects producers, creatives, freelancers, and leadership. You’ll bring energy to how the studio operates.
This is a highly communication-driven role that requires quick thinking, strong judgment, and the ability to problem solve in real time. You’ll coordinate across multiple departments and work closely with producers, creatives, and freelancers to keep work moving.
You’ll handle many of the day-to-day responsibilities tied to resourcing, while also taking initiative to anticipate needs, flag gaps, and help plan ahead. It’s not just about managing schedules, but helping the studio stay one step ahead.
This is an hourly role with real ownership, and a strong pathway into production or studio operations over time. We’re looking for someone early in their career who is genuinely interested in the entertainment industry and the role design plays in shaping culture.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience in coordination, production, or scheduling roles, or experience working in entrepreneurial creative environments. An interest in entertainment, storytelling, and design is a big plus.
