The Impact You Will Make

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing and developing a wide variety of accounting functions. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, this role will perform general ledger accounting, month-end procedures, and will help evaluate and establish efficient accounting procedures for a fast and growing company.This position offers a base salary range between $60-$65K, pending experience, with potential for bonus eligibility.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete account reconciliations and prepare journal entries
• Analyze expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close
• Maintain design of spreadsheets to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Suggest ways to improve efficiency in accounting procedures and operations
• Provide supporting documentation and assistance to auditors as needed
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Create and provide various reports as needed
• Carry out ad hoc projects as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Three years of accounting experience with multi-entity, multi-state companies
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel skills
• Proficiency with business management or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, databases and tools; experience with Concur a plus
• Ability to build professional relationships and establish rapport cross-functionally with internal and external clients
• Ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast environment, and operate in the gray
