We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Channel Letter Fabricator to join our custom sign shop. This role is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of high-quality channel letters and illuminated signage. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of precision and consistency in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate channel letters from aluminum, acrylic, and other materials
- Trim, form, and assemble channel letter returns and faces
- Install LEDs, wiring, and power supplies per specifications
- Read and interpret shop drawings, artwork, and work orders
- Operate fabrication equipment such as routers, benders, brakes, shears, and hand tools
- Perform quality checks to ensure signage meets company and client standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet production deadlines
- Assist with other sign fabrication tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience fabricating channel letters in a sign shop environment preferred
- Working knowledge of LED installation and basic electrical wiring
- Ability to read drawings, layouts, and measurements accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working with hand tools and shop equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Experience with front-lit, reverse-lit, and combo channel letters
- Familiarity with UL standards and electrical best practices
- Experience working in a high-volume custom fabrication shop
