We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Channel Letter Fabricator to join our custom sign shop. This role is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of high-quality channel letters and illuminated signage. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of precision and consistency in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate channel letters from aluminum, acrylic, and other materials
Trim, form, and assemble channel letter returns and faces
Install LEDs, wiring, and power supplies per specifications
Read and interpret shop drawings, artwork, and work orders
Operate fabrication equipment such as routers, benders, brakes, shears, and hand tools
Perform quality checks to ensure signage meets company and client standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to meet production deadlines
Assist with other sign fabrication tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
Experience fabricating channel letters in a sign shop environment preferred
Working knowledge of LED installation and basic electrical wiring
Ability to read drawings, layouts, and measurements accurately
Strong attention to detail and quality
Comfortable working with hand tools and shop equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Experience with front-lit, reverse-lit, and combo channel letters
Familiarity with UL standards and electrical best practices
Experience working in a high-volume custom fabrication shop
