Duties
- Measure, cut, and install various siding materials including vinyl, fiber cement, metal, or wood siding according to project specifications and blueprints
- Install exterior trim elements such as fascia, soffit, corner boards, window casings, and decorative trim with precision and attention to detail
- Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure accurate installation aligned with design intent
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and finishing siding and trim components
- Follow all construction safety protocols, including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, scaffolding, and other fall protection equipment during outdoor work
- Perform minor roofing repairs or assist with roofing projects involving single-ply membrane roofing or metal roofing when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to construction workplace safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards are upheld
Skills
- Proven experience in siding installation, exterior trim work, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, caulking guns, and measuring devices; proficient with power tools for efficient installation
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladder safety procedures, and OSHA standards
- Experience working on outdoor projects involving heavy lifting, framing carpentry (including metal stud framing), masonry work, remodeling, tile laying or restoration is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety protocol adherence throughout all tasks
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical plans and collaborating effectively within a team environment
