The Breakfast Hostess is responsible for setting up the daily breakfast, ensuring that the breakfast items stay well stocked during breakfast service. Responsibilities
- Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by the hotel.
- Ensure proper preparation and arrangement of breakfast items as per Hotel Brand Standards.
- Ensuring the quality and appearance of the food meets Brand standards.
- Greet all arriving guests at your station in a pleasant manner, making them feel welcome.
- Advise the hotel management of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately.
- Maintain a clean breakfast area at all times during the hotel's breakfast hours, proactively assisting guest with tray emptying and disposal.
- Clean up and properly store all items including food after breakfast is over.
- Ensure the buffet & seating tables are cleaned properly and set up according to hotel standards.
- Stock items as deliveries arrive. Ensure all food items are rotated with oldest in front, newest in back.
- Help to minimize waste and inform management of items to be ordered or items which are overstocked.
- Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day.
- Communicate with management, front desk for service-related matters, and maintenance for equipment related matters.
- Help other hotel personnel as necessary.
- Additional duties from hotel manager will be assigned as necessary.
