What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Accounting Manager position at Image Associates Inc.?
Clearwater – St. Petersburg area corporate headquarters needs a Corporate Accounting Manager. This is a publicly traded manufacturing company with manufacturing plants in the United States. You will report to the Director of Accounting, and supervise corporate accounting staff.
- Will manage the corporate accounting staff to ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies, GAAP, and SEC regulations.
- Supervise the monthly financial close process, coordinating with division controllers, tax personnel, payroll, etc. to produce financial statements of several companies.
- Oversee the preparation of the Company’s financial, statistical and management reports.
- Responsible for analysis, and reporting of cost related financial information, and cost variance analysis.
- Control the general ledger, asset management, and accounts payable systems
- Maintain integrity of balance sheet accounts
- Provide audit support to internal and external auditors.
- Provide oversight of corporate accounting policies, reviewing the performance of the company’s internal controls and completion of SOX requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5-7 years experience in a corporate accounting management position.
- Expertise in accounting for a public traded company – familiarity with GAAP, SOX, and SEC regulations is required.
- In depth experience with SAP G/L and Business Intelligence (BI)
