What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Image Associates Inc.?
This job is with a company in Lamar, SC that makes things out of metal. They want someone with a strong background in Production Supervision. They prefer someone with an understanding of welding, painting/finishing, and assembly, but they will consider people from other products manufacturing.
Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality.
- With safety first in mind, you will implement continuous improvement plans.
- Oversee about 80 skilled metal fabrication staff including welders, assemblers, and inspectors.
- Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances.
- Communicate with maintenance about repairs, improvements in machine uptime.
- Collect data and provide analysis of manufacturing problems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree preferred, but not required.
- Must have a good understanding of quality requirements for welding and for finished assemblies.
- Must have at least three years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience in driving quality, cost, delivery times, and safety improvements.
- Should be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Must be committed to the use of metrics to understand production trends and weak points.
