Business Development Manager – OEM
iMBranded is one of the nation’s leading providers of facility imaging programs. We are a full-service manufacturer of fixtures, furniture and graphic products specializing in the retail automotive segment with OEMs and the dealer network.
The Business Development Manager works with National Sales Director to develop and execute a growth strategy with specific sales tactics to achieve both short- and long-term goals with a focus on OEM programs. This position will be responsible for supporting, identifying and winning new opportunities that further contribute to increased success at the market and OEM levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include but are not limited to):
SALES AND BRAND MANAGEMENT
- Contribute to organizational goals by serving both external and internal customer needs while successfully selling graphics and millwork programs resulting in both opportunity pipeline and direct revenue.
- Grow OEM business relationships with focus of maintaining, securing and growing enterprise-wide and multi-functional opportunities for iMB while providing solution-oriented products.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities within current and non-current OEM customer base.
- Build relationships with key OEM decision makers with the purpose of securing “approved vendor” status for iMB on OEM retail/dealership Architectural Millwork and Graphics programs.
- Serve as lead commercial point of contact to OEM clients managing communications and commercial business development activities for programs related to new business development
- Forecasting and ensuring visibility for all brand opportunities using OEM data, Dodge Reports, relationship contacts, Salesforce Brand Dashboards and trackers.
- Support internal process for OEM negotiations at program start-up and renewal including but no limited to standard element pricing, timelines etc.
- Performs competitive market analysis on common product offerings, analyzing pricing, quality, and delivery to ensure iMB value proposition.
- Develop and execute initiatives to increase customer experience, satisfaction and retention.
- Responsible for Salesforce accuracy with support of SF analyst.
- Deploys and tracks opportunity pipeline by brand – optimizing for maximum sales win rate – identification and prioritization of leads
BRAND MANAGEMENT AND PROCESS
- Develop marketing initiatives and OEM brand strategy for sales collateral, visual guides and OEM program catalogs including identification and documentation of OEM Brand CIs and DIDs
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Product Development Team on new program launches and existing program enhancements
- Provide internal teams with new program/product/market feedback and ideas based on learnings from customers and the Field Sales Managers
- Support FSM and Program Manager training and development of stand-up process for new programs.
- Maintain industry and product knowledge by participating in training, workshops, engaging with your network and reading publications.
- Be a leader and positive support for change management within internal teams
- Handle special projects and provide sales backup help as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (include but are not limited to)
- Proficiency with computers and the MS Office Suite including Excel.
- Strong track record of leadership and delivering tangible results.
- Experience leading and managing large-scale, initiatives and managing associated change.
- Strong relationship-building skills and negotiation skills.
- Superior skills in presentation, communication and building bridges across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to offer quick analysis for decision-making within a general context.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or related major
- Demonstrated successful experience working both autonomously and with others in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Program management experience with delivery to automotive OEMs
- 4 years of demonstrated success managing large scale graphic or millwork programs from a cost, quality and customer relations perspective.
- 4 years demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
