Manufacturing Support Engineer - Wood Doors

Manufacturing Support Engineer | Manitowoc, WI | $80,000 to $95,000/year

A growing, privately held architectural wood door manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Support Engineer for its state-of-the-art production facility. This is a hands-on role focused on solving day-to-day manufacturing problems and driving process improvement, reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance, working closely with Production, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and Engineering
• Develop practical solutions and ensure improvements are successfully implemented and sustained
• Drive teams from problem identification through execution and follow-up
• Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, working with operators, supervisors, and department leadership
• Serve as an escalation resource for problems requiring deeper process analysis
• Coordinate planning, design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes
• Eliminate waste in key constraint areas and improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery
• Develop and drive metrics in conjunction with Production teams
  
  

What You'll Need:

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation
• Self-starter, able to work independently and on a team
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of staff
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Wood products manufacturing experience
• Prior project management experience, start to finish
• Prior capital project experience
  
  

Compensation and Benefits:

$80,000 to $95,000 per year plus bonus eligibility, 401k with 4% employer match, medical/vision/dental insurance, life insurance, tuition assistance, and paid vacation and holidays.
