Must-have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 7 years of experience in heavy equipment design
• 3 years of leadership or people management experience
• Strong proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
• Solid knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and applicable engineering/safety standards
  
  

Position Overview

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, fabrication, and installation of heavy equipment solutions. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, project execution, and continuous improvement. The Engineering Manager will oversee engineers, supervisors, fabricators, and installers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff, supervisors, fabricators, and installers
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance, and safety-focused work environment
• Allocate resources and manage priorities to meet operational and project goals
  
  

Design & Engineering

• Oversee the design, specification, and modernization of heavy equipment
• Ensure all designs meet OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable regulatory standards
  
  

Project Management

• Manage full lifecycle projects including fabrication, installation, and upgrades
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for smooth execution
• Partner with the Sales Manager to review completed projects and improve quoting accuracy, design efficiency, and installation outcomes
  
  

Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop preventive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement reliability best practices to reduce downtime
  
  

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company safety policies
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Drive innovation in heavy equipment design and automation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process efficiency improvements
