The Engineering Manager will manage the maintenance department, manage capital project spending and manage capital projects, and manage the Safety/PSM program for the plant.
Capital Project Management:
- Assist the Plant Manager in the preparation of capital Investment Request by first determining the best equipment design and/or facility layout, develop specifications, bid drawings, and ensure that the project meets all environmental, safety, production and maintenance requirements
- Upon project approval, purchase and expedite materials, equipment, and services
- Ensure that projects are implemented according to the specification in a safe and timely manner with a minimum disruption to plant activities
- Assign, direct, and evaluate the work of the Maintenance Dept
- Assure all KPI’s are met consistently
- Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Ensure maintenance employees are trained, understand/stay engaged in all plant safety systems, processes, and initiatives
- Manage maintenance repairs, employee workload, work order system, & spare parts inventory
- Actively maintain equipment performance statistics including mean time between failures and creating, managing, and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance plans
- Engage PMC-2000 as the tool for assisting the management of the maintenance/preventative maintenance program
- Maintain Mechanical Integrity program
- Responsible/accountable for execution and compliance of the PSM process at the site
- Input on Safety Modifications to the plant systems
