Summary:
Responsible for supporting daily warehouse and shipping operations for aftermarket military aviation spare parts. This role includes receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials in accordance with company procedures and industry compliance standards. Position ensures accuracy of inventory, proper documentation, and timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound shipments; verify part numbers, quantities, and accompanying documentation (e.g., certificates of conformance, airworthiness documents)
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, discrepancies, and compliance with purchase orders and regulatory requirements
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship aviation parts, ensuring proper handling of sensitive, serialized, and controlled items
- Maintain strict inventory control, including lot/serial number tracking and traceability records
- Prepare domestic and international shipments, including export documentation in compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations
- Ensure proper packaging methods to prevent damage and meet military and aerospace shipping standards
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems to record transactions and maintain real-time inventory accuracy
- Conduct cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (as certified)
- Adhere to all company quality procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Sales teams to resolve discrepancies and support order fulfillment
- Additional Duties, as assigned
Supplemental Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage areas
- Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3 years of warehouse, shipping, and/or logistics experience.
- Proficient in computer operations, including experience in shipping platforms, both domestic and international.
- Familiarity with inventory and/or warehouse management systems (Pentagon system).
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, part numbers, and technical labels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word).
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, or regulated environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
