Illuminated Integration is seeking a Security Installation Technician to join our growing integrated security team. This role focuses on commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage infrastructure.
This is a hands-on field position working on real projects — schools, higher education, corporate, public venues, and specialty facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Install, terminate, and test access control systems (panels, readers, door hardware, locks)
- Install and commission CCTV / video surveillance systems
- Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT6, composite, control wiring)
- Mount cameras, readers, enclosures, and field devices
- Assist with system checkout, testing, and troubleshooting
- Read and work from drawings, plans, and scopes of work
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades on-site
- Maintain clean, professional workspaces and documentation
- 2 years of experience in commercial security or low-voltage installation
- Working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV / IP camera systems, low-voltage cabling, and terminations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites
- Experience with enterprise access control platforms
- Camera system commissioning or troubleshooting experience
- Door hardware experience
- Manufacturer certifications
- OSHA training
- Network basics (IP addressing, PoE concepts)
