Overview:
The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business and driving the development of integrated security system solutions—from initial client engagement through conceptual design and final contract. This role requires a strong blend of sales acumen, system design, and technical confidence to present and sell commercial low-voltage security solutions. The Account Executive will report directly to the Director of Integrated Security.
Job Position Responsibilities Include:
Client Relationship & Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Educate clients on project processes, manage expectations, and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee account performance, identify upsell opportunities, and encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with clients to clarify project scope and requirements, ensuring alignment with their needs.
Sales Strategy & Prospecting:
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies and account plans to grow client accounts.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and source potential clients through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Prepare sales proposals, deliver product presentations, and negotiate terms to close deals.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to inform estimates and proposals.
Customer Needs & Solutions Development:
- Assess client needs and project goals, providing customized solutions that address specific challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align resources and support for client projects, tailoring approaches based on market conditions.
- Begin scope of work development for project management and design engineering, incorporating accurate cost estimates and timelines.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and other project components.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze account performance against sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM software, prepare sales forecasts, and provide regular reports to management.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback, using insights to improve product and service offerings.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Coordinate with marketing, design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment on client needs.
- Share client insights with internal teams to inform product development and service improvements.
- Participate in training and development to stay updated on industry trends and enhance sales skills.
Site Visits & Customer Support:
- Conduct site visits to document conditions and systems, and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Provide clients with training resources, support onboarding for new clients, and assist with product-related inquiries.
- Manage box sale fulfillment, ensuring contract compliance and timely delivery.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and assess potential risks that could impact project costs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in access control/security system sales and design.
- Demonstrated ability to design and sell integrated security systems (access control, surveillance, intrusion, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven experience in sales or account management
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with construction documents, architectural drawings, and system specs.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work productively independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and analytical problem-solving skills
- A familiarity with PC and Mac computers, CAD, and Google Workspace products
- The ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
General Position Expectations:
- Flexible working hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM
- After hours and weekend work as required
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer
- Valid drivers license
Payment & Benefits Compensation:
- Competitive base salary of $65,000-85,000 annually
- Uncapped commission structure

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
