Civil Litigation Defense Associate - Edwardsville, IL

Lashly & Baer, P.C. is looking for a motivated and driven attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience to join our Litigation Practice Group in our growing Edwardsville, Illinois office.

This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants to build a career in litigation and gain meaningful, hands-on experience. Our associates work closely with experienced attorneys and are involved in all stages of a case from developing strategy and conducting discovery to preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.

Responsibilities Include

• Developing litigation strategies and preparing cases for trial
• Conducting fact and expert discovery
• Drafting pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Communicating with clients and providing practical legal guidance
• Preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings
• Managing assigned matters and working collaboratively with the litigation team
