Position Overview

The Cultivation Specialist will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our cultivation facility, ensuring the health, growth, and quality of our cannabis plants. This position requires a detail-oriented, hands-on individual with a passion for horticulture and a commitment to maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant Care & Maintenance:

  • Monitor and maintain the health of cannabis plants throughout all growth stages (propagation, vegetative, flowering).
  • Perform tasks such as pruning, defoliation, trellising, and transplanting.
  • Identify and address plant health issues, including pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.

• Environmental Monitoring:

  • Maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, light, CO2 levels) in grow rooms.
  • Operate and troubleshoot cultivation equipment, including irrigation and lighting systems.

• Harvesting & Processing:

  • Assist with harvesting, drying, trimming, and curing processes to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant yields and other key metrics.

• Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations, including proper documentation and tracking of plants.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in horticulture, agriculture, or cannabis cultivation.
  • Strong understanding of plant biology and cultivation techniques.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).

• Preferred:

  • Experience with commercial cannabis cultivation.
  • Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) and nutrient management.
  • Familiarity with cultivation software and tracking systems (e.g., METRC).
