About the Practice
The Intellectual Property group assists clients with the full lifecycle of their IP assets, from acquisition and protection to enforcement, licensing, and strategic commercialization. The team handles complex cross-border disputes, patent strategy and prosecution, trademark and copyright matters, trade secret issues, and related commercial challenges. With more than five decades of experience and a global network of attorneys, the practice offers robust support on high-stakes and multijurisdictional IP matters.
The Opportunity
The Dallas office is seeking a mid-to-senior-level associate to join its Intellectual Property team, with a focus on patent work. The role includes supporting complex IP disputes, such as patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and false advertising matters, while also assisting with patent prosecution and patent-related transactions. Associates in this practice gain exposure to high-impact work, collaboration with cross-border teams, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to major litigation and strategic
projects.
Qualifications
- Background in patent matters, including litigation or disputes
- Engineering degree required
- Experience with patent prosecution or transactional patent work is a plus
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple assignments
- Admission to the Texas Bar or ability to waive in
