Kitchen Technician

Position Description:

The Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the production and extraction processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining accurate production logs. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with extraction processes (such as butane, CO2, ethanol, or nitrogen) and a solid background in chemistry or biochemistry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Execute and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a focus on technical and complicated processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems that may arise during extraction or manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate logs and records related to plant, extraction, and product production.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure the safe handling and disposal of chemicals in line with SOPs and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members during shift changes to ensure smooth operations.
• Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Processing Manager or lead.
• Work flexible shifts as needed to meet production goals and timelines.
• Uphold Ilera Holistic Healthcare's quality and teamwork objectives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Chemistry or Biochemistry background/degree required.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation to learn and improve.
• Basic understanding of butane, CO2, ethanol, or nitrogen extractions preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Proficiency in computer programs, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Capable of working in physically demanding conditions, including standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, and walking for long periods.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and compliant with company regulations.
