THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement, improve online reputation, and support our school's communication and recruitment efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of various digital marketing channels, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
Develop, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Video) to achieve specific marketing objectives. Monitor performance, conduct keyword research, and ensure efficient budget utilization.
Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for all school locations, ensuring accurate information, engaging content, and timely responses to reviews.
Plan, execute, and manage paid social media campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn), including audience targeting, ad creative development, budget management, and meticulous tracking of all billing and performance metrics.
Establish and maintain comprehensive dashboards to monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of all digital marketing campaigns. Utilize data to identify trends, optimize strategies, and demonstrate ROI.
Develop and maintain a consistent social media presence by regularly posting engaging content across various platforms for general school communications, events, and community updates.
Create basic video reels and other short-form visual content for social media to enhance engagement and communication.
Develop and execute digital marketing strategies specifically for staff recruitment, utilizing platforms like LinkedIn and other relevant job boards to attract qualified candidates.
Proactively manage and improve the school's online reputation by monitoring and responding to reviews, encouraging positive feedback, and implementing strategies to generate new reviews.
Utilize interactive maps and other demographic/geographic data tools to analyze target audiences and inform strategic marketing decisions for optimal campaign performance.
Collaborate closely with the Digital Media Creator to develop compelling and high-quality commercial content for various digital marketing channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Communicating with others to exchange information (in person/telephone/computer)

When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites

May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation, and/or wind
Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions
Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations

Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software
Speaking in public settings, including making public presentations to large and small groups
Occasional travel to tentpole events, internal conferences, network schools, etc., may be required

WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience (3 years) in digital marketing with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
In-depth knowledge of Google Ads and Google Analytics.
Demonstrated experience managing social media advertising campaigns, including budget and billing reconciliation.
Proficiency in social media management platforms and best practices.
Basic video editing skills for creating short-form content (reels, etc.).
Proficiency in creating engaging social media visuals using tools like Canva.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with online reputation management strategies is a plus.
Bonus Skills:
Experience creating and implementing website tags (e.g., Google Tag Manager) for tracking visitor activity and gathering behavioral data.
