SUMMARY Greets and escorts guests to tables in a friendly professional manner. Answers telephone. Works with Manager-on-Duty to cultivate maximum guest satisfaction and dining pleasure.

Welcomes guests with a pleasant and helpful attitude; recognizing and acknowledging regular and VIP guests.
Seats guests ensuring guest satisfaction and a smooth working pace in the dining room.
Answers telephones, records and confirms reservations, takes messages and to-go orders. In some locations, also takes room service orders.
Is familiar with the menu, prices, dress code, location, phone numbers, accepted forms of payment, hours of operation and room capacity of the establishment.
Performs sidework as directed, to keep the restaurant clean, orderly and well stocked.
Thanks departing guests and bids them a pleasant day/evening.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and able to perform these operations using units of American money.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to recognize and resolve problems in standard situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES General social ability and salesmanship; ability to communicate well with customers, while being well mannered and professional.
