Team members at IKO Pacific are part of a collaborative, high-performance environment where innovation and continuous improvement are at the forefront. 📽️ Learn more about our plant: Watch the video Role: Controls and Automation Specialist *This is a Safety Sensitive position. * Job Summary: Support plant operations by troubleshooting and repairing issues in electrical, automation, process control, and instrumentation systems. Compensation: $70,000- $80,000 Benefits Health Insurance (includes teledoc, virtual health, FSA, HCSA & other benefits) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Health Spending Account Employee Support and Mental Wellness Short term disability 401k Match Paid vacation Floating days Employee Assistance Program Employee Engagement Events Awards and Recognition Tuition Reimbursement Service Awards Employee Perks & Discounts Job Responsibilities Providing effective automation and controls support to plant operations to drive increased reliability and availability of equipment Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing problems in all areas of Electrical, Automation, Networks, Process, Instrumentation and Controls Systems that occur in the facility Troubleshooting, pinpointing problems, and remediate all problems Performing preventive maintenance and calibration of plant controls systems and instrumentation. Supporting troubleshooting, development of process/system improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance development, and contractor performance monitoring, when necessary, for new automation or controls systems. Maintaining documentation of all operational activities for future reference. Qualifications 5 years related work experience working with/on PLC’s, HMI’s, Servos, VFD’s, electrical, hydraulics, controls, and pneumatics. Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent experience as an Industrial Electrician. Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, One-line, and P&ID process diagrams. Experience with AB PLCs, “Studio 5000”, HMI, VFD’s, Servo, Sensors, Instrumentation, and industrial control systems. Possess knowledge of and apply electrical standards, including National Electrical Code and UL508a, apply safe electrical work practices including LOTO and Arc Flash safety - NFPA 70e. Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet Networks and network communication standards. Skilled in use of electrical test equipment including voltmeters, amp meters, process meters, network analyzers and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues. Understands and is familiar with safety systems for plant equipment such as safety PLCs, E-stops, safety relays, and light curtains. Possesses an understanding of calibration procedures for process instruments, which measure temperature, pressure, flow, level and composition, along with an understanding of process controls and troubleshooting. Works with IKO Corporate Electrical Team for strategic direction, consultation, and troubleshooting. Ensure Corporate Standards are being followed and keep accurate records of any changes made to electrical systems.
