We’re an elevated new Japanese dining destination bringing refined sushi, robata, and cocktails to the heart of Glendale. Just steps from The Americana, our restaurant combines traditional Japanese flavors with modern design, offering guests a warm and unforgettable dining experience.
We're building a professional and passionate opening team to help us launch in Janurary 2026—and we’re currently hiring talented bartenders who know how to deliver exceptional service and craft quality cocktails with care.
Position Overview
As a bartender, you’ll be the face of our bar program—welcoming guests, curating experiences, and crafting balanced, beautiful cocktails that complement our sushi and robata menu. We're seeking individuals who are professional, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule bartenders
- Oversee bar operations, service standards, and guest experience
- Control bar inventory, ordering, and cost of goods
- Develop and maintain cocktail menus
- Create a Japanese-inspired programs
- Train bartenders and enforce service consistency
- Coordinate with FOH management and kitchen
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, sake, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and quality
- Engage guests at the bar with warmth, professionalism, and product knowledge
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
- Collaborate with the beverage manager to execute seasonal and signature cocktail offerings
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards
- Assist in bar prep, restocking, and closing duties as needed
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment
Qualifications
- 2 years experience as a bartender in an upscale or high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, bar technique, and premium spirits
- Interest or experience in Japanese spirits, sake, shochu, and Asian flavor profiles a plus
- Excellent guest service and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and polished appearance
- Must be at least 21 years old and hold a current/valid alcohol service certification (e.g., RBS in California)
