Automotive Service Advisor

Ike Honda is hiring an Automotive Service Writer/Advisor

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is required! Experience in outside industries will be considered for the right candidate.
• Prior Dealership or Aftermarket Shop Experience preferred, but not required.
• CDK Computer system experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule during hours of operation, including Saturdays.
• Valid and current Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check & drug screening.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome customers as they bring their vehicles into our service drive!
• Work with customers in need of maintenance or repairs.
• Create estimates for customers & writes repair orders.
• Work with warranty and service contract companies to process customer claims.
• Communicate with customers in person, on the phone, through text, and via email.

Duties

• Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
• Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other operational duties as assigned.
